“En este hospital, por ser muy grande, siempre tenemos camas dis-
ponibles y hay forma de ingresar gente porque diariamente egresan
alrededor de 130 pacientes que son dados de alta.” Efectivamente la
ocupación esmuy altapero aseguróque nunca es del 100por ciento.
Explicóqueunnosocomioque trabaja al 100por cientode su capaci-
dad ya está sobrepasado, de ahí que en el HGM se esfuercen en de-
sarrollar y trabajar conprocesosmáseficientesque reduzcanel tiempo
que la gente permanece internada. “El objetivo es que los pacientes
sólopermanezcan el tiempo necesario en el hospital.”
Y concluyó afirmando que continuará trabajando para que el Hospital
General deMéxico siga a la vanguardia como el nosocomiomás im-
portante del sector público en México. “Somos el hospital insignia, a
lomejor esto resulta unpocopetulante y probablemente los directivos
o trabajadores de otras instituciones piensen que no es así, pero no-
sotrospensamosquesí somos losmejoresy trabajamoscadadíapara
que el hospital continúe siendo el ‘general de los hospitales’”.
