Dr. Silvia EspinosaMaceda, reconstructive plastic surgeon, is currently
the head of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the
General Hospital ofMexico (GHM).
EspinosaMaceda, amember of theMedical Association of Information
and Update on Integral Health and Beauty (AMINABI), informed Pro-
tocolo that the service she presides is currently integrated by 12medical
specialists working at the hospital, which in conjunction also work with
16medical residents.
She explained that the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery at the General Hospital of Mexico, has more than 50 years
serving patients with dedication, quality and warmth. The doctor ac-
knowledged that she feels a great responsibility and a big challenge in
serving in this position which she took over just a couple of months
ago. This service was founded in 1954 by the renowned plastic sur-
geon, Fernando Ortiz Monasterio, and other great masters of plastic
surgeons who preceded her.
