The Scientific Research Division at the General Hospital of
México is headed by Dr. David Kershenobich Stalnikowitz. In
his area, all research protocol records carried out in the hospital
are registered.
Doctor Kershenobich told Protocolo that the objective is to go one step
further by offering support to researchers, which occurs in twoways: The
registration of investigation protocols, and the support given to their
designs through biostatistics and bioinformatics.
He explained that in this way, the clinical doctor who performs his daily
work in the hospital can benefit from his experience with patients and
at the same time propose a research project. The InvestigationDivision
helps him designand develop the protocols.
"This way of working is inclusive because it allows not only the doctors
and residents to carry out research, but also paramedical staff and
the nurses.”
